Mon-Thur 4:00p-2:30a, occasional daytime OT

Senior Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Senior Maintenance Technician provides advanced technical expertise in the installation, start-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment. This position is responsible for improving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and optimizing machine performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on production and facility equipment.
  • Complete routine maintenance including bearings, belts, lubrication, inspections, adjustments, and equipment cleaning.
  • Identify critical preventive maintenance tasks and implement them into the CMMS.
  • Support production employees with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
  • Install, start up, maintain, repair, and rebuild industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures using multimeters, tachometers, calipers, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Dismantle machinery and replace defective or worn components.
  • Optimize machine cycle times, reliability, and production output.
  • Repair equipment according to OEM standards.
  • Perform facility and building maintenance repairs as needed.
  • Coordinate equipment downtime with Production and other departments to complete repairs.
  • Enter completed maintenance activities and repairs into the CMMS.
  • Complete shift reports and communicate equipment status between Maintenance and Production.
  • Order replacement parts and maintain necessary repair supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Associate Degree in a related field or Technical Certificate highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with equipment installation, start-up, preventive maintenance, and complex equipment repairs.
  • Experience using CMMS systems and developing preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment independently and identify root causes of failures.
  • Experience using maintenance hand tools, multimeters, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and equipment reliability skills.
