About The Team Whileimplementing cybersecurity, the team focuses on two key areas: SecurityEngineering and Continuous Monitoring using NIST and DOD Risk ManagementFramework •Team supports the AuthorizingOfficial Designated Representative (AODR) for Logistics and Civil Engineering informationsystems and mobile technology across the Air Force. •The team blends core DoD RMFpractices with the best that the National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST) offers and incorporating industry best practices. •The team delivers the U.S. Air Force warfighter secureweb-based capabilities, in AWS and Azure cloud environments, up to SECRET andtraditional legacy DoD configurations. •The team is comprised of othercertified cybersecurity professionals, with experience from 5-25 years, andwith military, federal, and industry experiences at all levels. •The team provides a collaborativeenvironment that has produced guidance documents used across the Air Force. How will YOUsupport the customers? •Solve Problems – Cybersecurity is adynamic area that requires fresh ideas and problem-solving techniques thatrequires the ability to understand the root cause of issues and develop ways tosolve them. • •Understand – Participate and chairmeetings with key stakeholders from varied backgrounds to fully understandissues, constraints, and key deliverables. •Get It Done – Independently deliverend-to-end projects/capabilities working through a wide range of challenges andopportunities across multiple organizations. •Collaborate – Obtain buy-in andsign-off from customers and work with senior leaders across the Air Force onmilestones/events. •Communicate – Communicate regularlywith your customers, teammates, and other stakeholders on both technical andnon-technical topics. • •Manage – Manage multiple mobile capabilitiesacross diverse platforms and communities as a Project Lead and Action Officer. •Become Agile – Become intimatelyfamiliar with agile development, security and project management values andprinciples as they apply to information technology. •Innovate – Participate in 1st of a kind pilotinitiatives to deliver secure applications to the warfighter in a variety ofconfigurations. •Monitor Applications – Explore newtechniques to evolve from legacy security practices to security engineeredcontinuous monitoring. •Train – Support trainingevents/orientation for cybersecurity and program managers across the Logistics andCivil Engineering security communities. • •Learn- Continue to acquire new skills while maturing the RMF process within the AF. About the Position This individualwill perform as an Action Officer to coordinate tasks, assist in functional validations ,and collaborate with key stakeholders in order to manage expectations with ISSMs and thefunctional community throughout the project(s) lifecycle. Thisrewarding position challenges candidates to assist the United States Air Forcewith application hosting in variety of common computing environments, fromstand alone to cloud-based applications. As atrusted agent, the candidate is a communicator and driven criticalproblem solver. Team members assistin reviewing relevant policies, scheduling activities and recommending coursesof action/tasks to reduce cybersecurity risk while balancing missionrequirements within allotted resources. Abilityto successfully communicate complicated cybersecurity policies and concepts,both written and orally to a diverse Senior-level audience is key. Candidate will act as the liaison betweenprogram managers, functional managers, and AF logistic leaders to analyze,document, assess, and manage competing security and mission requirements. Thisopportunity allows candidates to display his/her talents with a flexiblework style that allows for priority adjustments and short-turn taskers,while still maintaining focus on project success. Preferred individual will be self-motivated,with a high energy level, and a proactive work ethic. Activities include establishing and trackingplans to migrating systems to mobile environments, IoT assessments, and systemconsolidation to their completion . Team members are responsible to ensure results are integrated andinteroperable with related projects and production capabilities. Key Skills/Experience Required: • Understand and work as part of a teamimplementing the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF). •Provide guidance to system managers and security analysts to resolvesecurity related problems and concerns •Have a broad knowledge Air Force and DoD of policies,concepts, staff and operating functions, and procedures affecting combatsupport functions, and automated information systems management at variouslevels of command. •Requires strong organizational skills and independent , action-oriented personality; experience leading tasks and trackingactions across multiple organizations. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities backed bysolid writing and communication skills; must operate constructively andeffectively with project end-users, customers, advocates and stakeholders. •Requires demonstratable power user skills in MS Officeproducts (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint). •DoD 8570 Information Assurance Manager Level II (CAP,CASP, CISM, CISSP, or GSLC) •Experience with mobile applications system securityengineering or development. Other Skills (beneficial, not required) • CISSP, MobileCertification is a huge plus. •Air Force information system experiencethat can reduce learning curve •Previous DoD experience •Candidates with recentand relevant U.S. Air Force Logistics, experience are ideal • Familiar with DoD Security TechnicalImplementation Guidelines (STIGs) • Experience witheMASS • Working knowledge of mobile cybersecurity tools. • SharePoint development or site administration backgrounda plus •Familiarity with Fortify, ACAS/Nessus, App Detective Start date: ASAP BS / BA degree preferred DoDSECRET clearance required.
