Warehouse General Laborer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a General Laborer that will be responsible for assisting in various tasks related to the production and distribution of tires including loading and unloading materials, operating machinery, performing quality control checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload raw materials, finished products, and other materials from trucks or other transport vehicles using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
- Operate machinery, such as tire presses, grinders, and mixers, in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet company and industry standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping floors, disposing of waste materials, and cleaning machinery and equipment as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Able to operate basic machinery and equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and the willingness to learn to operate more complex machinery
- Able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) and stand for long periods of time
