Production Supervisor opening in Orange CA. We are looking for a strong production supervisor who has current or previous experience in the electronics assembly manufacturing industries. Company is growing and plans to introduce production into Orange facility in 2027. Looking for someone who can come in and learn the processes and help develop the future team once production is running.

Looking for someone with ISO experience and also ideally someone with a CompTIA A+ certificate

Production Supervisor – Electronics Medical Device Manufacturing

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees daily electronics medical device manufacturing operations, including electronic/PCBA assembly, soldering, inspection, testing, packaging, and labeling. This role leads production employees while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA QMSR / 21 CFR Part 820 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support employees performing electronics assembly, PCBA assembly, cable/wire harness assembly, soldering, inspection, testing, and packaging.
  • Assign daily work and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
  • Ensure production follows approved SOPs, work instructions, Device History Records (DHRs), BOMs, drawings, and quality procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 13485, FDA QMSR / 21 CFR Part 820, GMP, GDP, and ESD requirements.
  • Ensure proper product identification, component traceability, labeling, material segregation, and lot/serial number control.
  • Identify and escalate nonconforming products, failed tests, process deviations, equipment issues, and quality concerns.
  • Support root cause investigations, CAPA, process validation, equipment qualification, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Train employees on SOPs, work instructions, ESD practices, safety procedures, and quality expectations.
  • Ensure production records, DHRs, inspection/test records, rework documentation, and shift reports are completed accurately.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and audit-ready production environment following 5S, ESD, contamination-control, and calibration requirements.

Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+ certification strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment</strong>; electronics or medical device manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Previous lead, trainer, or supervisory experience preferred; candidates with demonstrated leadership potential will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA QMSR / 21 CFR Part 820, GMP, GDP, nonconformance, and CAPA processes preferred.
  • Understanding of ESD controls, traceability, production documentation, and quality records.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; ERP/MES experience is a plus.
  • English and Mandarin Chinese proficiency preferred, but not required.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an electronics/medical device manufacturing environment and may require ESD equipment, PPE, gowning, and contamination-control practices. Employees may work around soldering equipment, electronic components, test fixtures, calibrated equipment, and production systems. The position may require extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, and moving throughout the production floor.
