DIESEL MECHANIC OPENING WITH A LARGE LOGISTICS COMPANY IN PHILADELPHIA
PAY RANGE: $30-$40HR
MUST HAVE TWIC CARD
2ND SHIFT: 2PM-1030PM
3RD SHIFT: 10PM-630AM
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, and maintain equipment and vehicles to ensure proper working condition
- Perform preventative maintenance including engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair engine failures and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system malfunctions
- Replace defective parts and components as needed
- Listen to and assess operator complaints to identify and resolve equipment issues
- Verify vehicle capability through test drives and adjustment of controls and systems
- Maintain accurate equipment records by documenting all service and repairs
- Possess a basic knowledge of parts and parts ordering processes
- Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained in appearance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times
- Follow all company safety policies and utilize safe working practices
- Ability to work at satellite sites within a 10-mile radius

Requirements:
- 2+ years of automotive or heavy equipment mechanic experience, or a Technical School diploma
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Dependable, persistent, and able to manage time effectively
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and strong attention to detail
