Senior Structural Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role partners with engineers and cross-functional teams to support both new and existing product development.
You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and testing systems and components to ensure they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. This role also involves creating technical documentation, specifications, and reports.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead new product development (NPD) projects using a phased-gate process
- Interpret, organize, and execute engineering assignments from concept through production
- Build and evaluate prototypes and pilot units; refine designs as needed
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet performance requirements
- Maintain compliance with company procedures, codes, and industry standards
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through design and process improvements
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to NPD processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization
- Prepare design specs, drawings, test plans, and technical reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field
- 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD (2D/3D modeling)
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (highly preferred)
- Knowledge of residential and commercial building codes (a plus)
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as:
- Sheet metal
- Machining
- Welding
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
