FACILITIES TECHNICIAN OPENING IN LAKE FOREST CA. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH DRYWALL, PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE. THIS IS A DAY SHIFT ROLE.
PAYS $24-$28 HOURLY
6AM START TIME MON-FRI WITH SOME SATS
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide prompt and effective facilities support in the areas of routine maintenance, carpentry, light electrical, painting, plumbing, and preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Respond to facility-related service requests and emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Assist with facility upgrades, installations, and improvement projects.
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Provide support in assessing and repairing all potential safety hazards.
- Must be able to safely use standard hand and power tools, paint, drywall patch, and standard plumbing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the employee to work comfortably and safely in an office and shop environment. While performing the duties of the position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crawl, and crouch. The employee is occasionally required to work at heights approaching 30’ above the floor from a stationary work platform. This position involves occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone keypad or to write, as well as talk and hear.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- 2-5 years of mechanical and electrical repairs
- Forklift certified, or able to earn forklift certification on the job
Preferred:
- Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the mechanical and/or electrical field
- 2-5 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the mechanical or electrical field
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and safety standards.
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Regular and punctual onsite attendance for all scheduled work hours is an essential function of this position.
- Candidates must have access to reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival for scheduled work hours and occasional off-site travel for business-related tasks.
