Position Summary – Industrial Electrician
As an Industrial Electrician, you will:
-
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems in a manufacturing environment
-
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and operational issues
-
Install and wire motors, switch panels, fuse boxes, and power circuits
-
Create and update electrical layouts, schematics, and documentation
-
Work with Allen-Bradley PLC systems, including VFDs and 4–20 mA circuits
-
Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve safety
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
-
Journeyman Industrial Electrician
-
Proficient with amp meters, digital multimeters, and oscilloscopes
-
Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, hardware, and software
-
Experience with VFDs, PLC programming, and industrial controls
-
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
-
Knowledge of industrial wiring, motors, switches, panels, lighting, and power circuits
-
Familiarity with state and local electrical codes
-
Basic computer skills
-
Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
What You’ll Need

High school diploma or equivalent
-
3+ years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment
or a degree in a related field -
Journeyman electrical status
-
Ability to pass job-related pre-employment testing
-
Strong commitment to safety standards
