LARGE MANUFACTURING COMPANY IN VIRGINIA BEACH VA IS LOOKING FOR AN ELECTRICAL INTEGRATION TECHNICIAN. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS OPEN TO WORKING IN A NON-CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT.

PAYS: $28-$31.25 HOURLY

Electrical Integration Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Integration Technician with strong knowledge of electrical schematics, control wiring, and industrial electrical systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring electrical equipment is correctly installed, tested, and validated prior to shipment. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Electrical Integration Engineers, provide technical leadership to electricians, and help establish standardized electrical layouts and best practices.

Working knowledge of power generation systems, electronic controls, and fuel systems is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering specifications.

  • Perform electrical installation, control wiring, and integration of industrial electrical systems and enclosures.

  • Properly test and inspect each unit prior to shipment using product drawings and specifications.

  • Identify, document, and resolve electrical discrepancies with customers, engineers, and supervisors before ship date.

  • Collaborate with Electrical Integration Engineers to support design intent and system functionality.

  • Provide leadership and guidance on standardized electrical component layout and enclosure design.

  • Train and mentor electricians on schematic reading, installation, testing, and labeling best practices.

  • Deliver technical guidance and on-the-job training on safe operation of tools, equipment, and proper work techniques.

  • Conduct functional, continuity, sensor output, and indication testing using appropriate electrical test equipment.

  • Develop elevation drawings and electrical installation documentation for accurate replication and customer use.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial electrical design, installation, testing, and troubleshooting.

  • Proven experience with control wiring and electrical integration in industrial environments.

  • Proficiency with electrical test equipment and methods, including multimeters, ammeters, and functionality testing.

  • Excellent ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and engineering blueprints.

  • Strong understanding of electrical theory, best practices, and industrial installation standards.

  • General understanding of generators and power generation systems.

  • Ability to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions accurately.

  • Strong professional communication and teamwork skills.


Preferred / Desired Qualifications

  • AutoCAD experience.

  • Training from an accredited technical school specializing in diesel or gas engines.

  • Honorable discharge with military experience related to power generation or electrical equipment service.
