PAYS: $20-$29 (DEPENDS ON YEARS OF XP)
WELDER 1 $20-$22 (1-2 YEARS)
WELDER 2 $23-$26 (3-5 YEARS)

The Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work using MIG, TIG, wire, spot welding, and oxy/acetylene equipment. This role ensures products meet quality, safety, and production standards while following blueprints, specifications, and company procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities

Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, wire welder, spot welder, and oxy/acetylene torch

Weld I-beams, frames, and fuel tanks in flat, vertical, and overhead positions

Set up, lay out, and fabricate or rework finished products using material handling equipment or manual layouts

Clean, grind, and dress welds using hand-held sanders, grinders, wire wheels, and finishing tools
-
Clamp, hold, tack weld, drill, mill, tap, cut, and bolt components to achieve proper configuration prior to final welding

Create quality welds according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications

Inspect welds, materials, tools, and equipment for defects or malfunctions

Rework welds and components as required to meet quality standards

Change welding wire and shielding gas as necessary
-
Ensure welding equipment is properly set up and used safely
-
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of welding equipment; request repairs as needed
-
Assist with fuel tank pressure testing and rework when required
-
Complete work in accordance with production schedules and quality expectations

Accurately track time and completed work using weekly timesheets
-
Report and document material, production, quality, or safety issues to supervisors or management

Qualifications & Experience

Welding experience level varies based on skills assessment

Demonstrated skill in the use and care of welding tools and equipment

Proficiency with measurement tools (tape measures, calipers, gauges, etc.)
Education & Certifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required

MIG Welding Certification preferred

TIG Welding Certification a plus

Vocational or prior welding education preferred
