LARGE MANUFACTURING COMPANY IN VIRGINIA BEACH VA IS LOOKING FOR MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIANS. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS OPEN TO WORKING IN A NON-CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT. MUST HAVE MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL REPAIR EXPERIENCE ON MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT.

SHIFT:
1ST SHIFT MON-FRI 8AM-430PM
3RD SHIFT MON-THUR 430PM-330AM

PAYS: $28-$37 HOURLY

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our manufacturing team. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and code-compliant operations. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow schematics, blueprints, and project specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install new or modified electrical systems in compliance with local, state, and national codes.

  • Plan electrical installations to minimize material waste, ensure future maintenance accessibility, and maintain safe, reliable, and professional wiring layouts.

  • Interpret and follow diagrams, blueprints, and project specifications accurately.

  • Apply journeyman-level electrician skills for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and related equipment.

  • Apply mechanical knowledge as needed to diagnose and repair equipment, including air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.

  • Maintain work schedules, attendance, and duty requirements as established.

  • Perform work tasks as specified in project drawings, customer specifications, or project requirements.

  • Manage cleanliness and organization of the Electrical Shop and facility work areas.

  • Travel to job sites as required to support electrical projects.

  • Maintain safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.

  • Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.

  • Adhere to all safety procedures, including OSHA regulations, Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, and Confined Space policies.

  • Attend required educational and training sessions to maintain and improve technical skills.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman-level electrician experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Knowledge of electrical systems, installation techniques, and repair practices.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety.

  • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting related equipment.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, 40-hour work week with potential overtime.

  • Primarily manufacturing environment with occasional travel to job sites.
