LARGE MANUFACTURING COMPANY IN VIRGINIA BEACH VA IS LOOKING FOR A DAY SHIFT MECHANIC. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS OPEN TO WORKING IN A NON-CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT. MUST HAVE MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL REPAIR EXPERIENCE ON MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT.

SHIFT: 1ST SHIFT 8AM-430PM

PAYS: $25.82-$33.27 HOURLY
 

Manufacturing Maintenance Technician – Day Shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support day-shift production operations. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, respond to equipment issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools

  • Respond quickly to equipment failures to minimize production downtime

  • Assist with installation, calibration, modification, and setup of production equipment

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify maintenance priorities

  • Follow maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and longevity

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and documentation

  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards


Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Technical certification or Associate’s degree in Maintenance, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance

  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and regulations (OSHA preferred)

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
