THIS IS A DAY SHIFT ROLE AS WELL ROUGHLY 7AM-5PM MUST BE ON CALL FOR EMERGENCY
SALARY RANGE: $95K-$125K (FIRM)
HVAC & Facilities Project Engineer
Location: New Jersey
Pay Range: $95,000 – $125,000/year (based on experience, education, certifications, and other factors)

Position Summary
We are seeking an HVAC & Facilities Project Engineer to manage construction and maintenance projects within a manufacturing or industrial facility. This role is responsible for the installation, service, troubleshooting, and general upkeep of HVAC systems and related infrastructure. The position also provides technical support for operations and ensures facility upgrades are executed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and execute on-site construction projects

Manage HVAC projects, including boilers, chillers, heating, and cooling equipment

Oversee maintenance, service, and repair of dust collectors, cooling towers, and boiler systems

Handle monthly, quarterly, and yearly service contracts and maintain service records

Supervise maintenance, service, and inspections of facility equipment, including loading docks, overhead doors, fencing, and gates

Recommend and implement spare part inventory to support new equipment

Manage CAPEX projects, purchase orders, invoices, and capital budgets

Investigate and recommend equipment or facility improvements

Develop preventative maintenance procedures and schedules
Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities
-
Comply with all department, facility, corporate, and regulatory EHS regulations
-
Assist in implementing EHS policies and principles
-
Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
-
Report job-related injuries, illnesses, and EHS concerns promptly
-
Attend all required EHS training
Basic Qualifications
-
U.S. person status as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder)

Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)

Associate Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field

Heating and Cooling certification, degree, or formal training
-
5–7 years of experience in construction projects and HVAC operations
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field

Basic knowledge of electrical control systems

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and CAD designs

Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills
