LARGE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN ASHTABULA OHIO IS LOOKING FOR A STRONG INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN WHO HAS EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT.
LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN WORK WITH 480V, UNDERSTAND HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT PLCS, WIRE MOTORS, USE MULTIMETERS, READ BLUEPRINTS, ETC.
SHIFT: 7AM-3PM MON-FRI WITH SOME SATS ESPECIALLY DURING PEAK SEASON COMING UP SOON
PAYS: $80K-$85K SALARY
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including motors, control panels, wiring, and automation systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues to minimize production downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documents.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in the design and implementation of system improvements and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical systems preferred.
- Valid Electrician’s License (Journeyman or higher preferred).
- 3+ years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and automated control systems.
- Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in various manufacturing environments for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
