MANUFACTURING PLANT IN FT. GIBSON IS LOOKING FOR A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN ON NIGHT SHIFT. LOOKING FOR A STRONG MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN THAT HAS A STRONG BACKGROUND IN 480V, PLCS, VFDS, HYRDAULICS ETC.

PAYS: $30-$32 HOURLY

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the scheduled, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance and repair of a wide variety of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment. This role requires strong mechanical skills, including experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, conveyors, and PLCs. The Maintenance Technician completes work to a high standard across all installed equipment, identifies opportunities for process improvements, and supports the company’s quality and safety standards with a focus on continuous improvement.

Essential Job Functions

  • Adhere to all health and safety policies, GMPs, and required PPE (including hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).

  • Ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards (corporate, customer, and/or regulatory, e.g., SQF).

  • Report FSMS issues to management to initiate corrective actions.

  • Perform repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers efficiently and effectively.

  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic malfunctions.

  • Maintain production-supporting systems, including glycol systems, RO systems, compressed air, lubrication, and chemical distribution systems.

  • Apply innovative troubleshooting techniques to minimize downtime, ensure product quality, and maintain safety.

  • Complete, document, and retrieve approvals on all assigned work orders, recording all part numbers for inventory tracking.

  • Communicate maintenance and production updates effectively between shifts.

  • Assist in training other maintenance personnel.

  • Collaborate with production and adjacent teams to resolve issues rapidly and drive process improvements.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of GMPs and food safety requirements.

  • Ability to read and interpret machinery blueprints and parts manuals.

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Forklift certification required (obtain and maintain).

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Work Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, and overnight shifts may be required. Overtime as needed.

  • Work Environment: Fast-paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Noise levels require hearing protection. Temperatures may be hot or cold. Structured and supervised environment.
