Large Food Manufacturing plant is looking for a strong and stable maintenance technician in Hartwell, GA
MUST HAVE AMMONIA REFRIGERATION EXPERIENCE BUT DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A CERTIFICATION.
Looking for someone with experience wiring motors, working up to 480v, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics.
SHIFT: 2nd shift
PAY RATE: $24.90-28.00HOURLY
Additional Notes:
Maintenance Tech- Nights. It’s a new plant. The employee will train on days until the shift gets going and everyone is hired. Train on Days: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri and some Saturdays. Night shift will be 11pm-7:30am on same days. Starting pay . Start $24.90 hr and $.75 increase at 90 days. When they move to nights will get $1.00 shift diff.
Job Description: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Company is seeking a Motivated Individual To Perform a Variety Of Tasks In Any Number Of Areas In The Operation Including Install, Set Up, Maintenance And Repair Of Plant Equipment And Ammonia Refrigeration System In The Processing Of Raw Materials For The Pet Food, Pharmaceutical And Feed Industries.
Maintain General Maintenance Of The Building And Facilities By Performing The Following Tasks
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using measuring and testing instruments
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
• Maintain all shop, engine rooms and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion
• Complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner
• Assist in updating the PSM & PM Programs
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and wearing of all required safety gear (PPE)
• Adhere to attendance guidelines of the company at the assigned work location
• Maintains tools and equipment in good working order and in their proper place
• Daily rounds
• Report any hazards to management
• Other duties as assigned
• High school diploma/GED and Vocational Technical school and (1-3) years of experience and/or equivalent experience and education
• Experience in welding, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, ammonia refrigeration and some building maintenance
• Experience in the meat processing industry is desired but not required
