nMaintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues and repairing production equipment.
n
nJob Description:
n
nOne who is capable of and responsible for installation and repair of production, packing, or materials handling equipment or plant facilities. Has a high degree of training and skill in one (1) or more phases of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, operation of equipment, or parts fabrication in a general machine shop.

nResponsibilities:
n
nConduct routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs on candy production machinery, conveyors, and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
nDiagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and manual techniques and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
nDevelop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment to minimize unplanned downtime, and engage with system.
nLubricate, clean, and adjust components to maintain proper functionality and extend equipment lifespan.
nRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to troubleshoot and conduct on-the-spot repairs, aiming to minimize production disruptions.
nOrder and replace damaged or faulty parts as needed.
nMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements.
nDocument procedures, checklists, and maintenance logs to ensure effective communication and knowledge sharing.
nAdhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
nRecord or document the results of the measurement on the appropriate forms.
nPerform escalation to management if actions are unable to achieve specification.
nPerform checks and measurements and make adjustments to achieve the quality targets.
nPerform maintenance tasks in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
nQualifications:
n
nPreferred High school diploma or equivalent, technical certification or relevant vocational training in mechanical maintenance.
nStrong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues effectively.
nFamiliarity with candy manufacturing machinery, conveyors, and equipment is advantageous.
nProficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision instruments.
nKnowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems relevant to manufacturing machinery.
nExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
nEffective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and report maintenance activities.
nPhysical Requirements:
n
nAble to team lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
nAble to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist throughout duration of shift.
n
nThe starting pay rate for this role is $32/hr.
