MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

LARGE DISTRIBUTION PLANT IN BROOKSHIRE TEXAS IS IN NEED OF 4 MAINTENANCE TECHS. 2 ON DAY SHIFT. 1 ON 2ND SHIFT AND 1 ON 3RD SHIFT. MUST COME OUT OF HIGH SPEED MANUFACTURING AND DOES NOT WANT ANYONE OUT OF OIL AND GAS THEY DON'T DO WELL AT A DISTRIBUTION PLANT. 
nPAY RANGE IS 28-32.00HR 
nSHIFT SCHEDULES AND HOURS ARE AS FOLLOWED:
n1st shift – 5am-3pm
n2nd shift – 1pm-11pm
n3rd shift – 9pm-7am
n
nShift differential – 2nd shift is $1.50 and 3rd is $3.00
n
nVacation – Accrued 2 weeks, Sick Time is also accrued
n
n
nGENERAL PURPOSE:
n
nTo assess equipment/machinery issues in the Distribution Center, and make necessary repairs.
n
nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
n
n• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical material handling equipment, including transportation conveyors, sortation systems, and forklifts. Perform emergency mechanical repairs to failed material handling systems
n
n• Troubleshoot electrical control systems inclusive of motors, and their associated controls to the PLC output. Must have the ability to install/setup VFD's, as well as servo motor controls, and troubleshoot peripheral control devices to the PLC input.
n
n• Perform maintenance projects on conveyor systems to include: installation, removal, and process improvement changes.
n
n• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
n
n• Identify and locate required repair parts for failed systems
n
n• Maintain accurate record keeping such as: work orders, time sheets, and parts requests.

nQUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
n
n• Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics.
n
n• Must have knowledge of electrical motor control, strong electrical/mechanical skills; working with 30 – 480V.
n
n• Experience must include 5 – 8 years of progressive mechanical aptitude in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
n
n• Expertise in welding, soldering, and cutting torch skills is required.
n
n• Cognizant of the expectation to be accountable for all company assets, to include: spare parts, supplies, materials, tools, and general facility equipment.
n
n• Experience utilizing machines/equipment as follows: hand tools, drills, grinders, saws, multimeter, tachometer, welder, solderer, cutting torch, hydraulic gear puller, electric forklifts, pallet jacks, and platform lifts.
n
n• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
n
n• Requires overtime work as necessary.

n• Must be flexible to work any shift and/or weekends as scheduled.
n
n• Exhibit the ability to work independently and safely, with limited supervision.

n• Must be well organized, and able to complete, and perform work orders.
n
n• Will be expected to conduct all assigned tasks scheduled by supervisor.
