nJob Description: Maintenance Lead/Planner
n
nWhile complying with GMP, safety rules, and all other company operating requirements, the maintenance planner supports the Maintenance Department through the coordination of all plannable maintenance work. This requires self-motivation to obtain and expand in knowledge the intricacies of the facility and its related operations. The maintenance planner will coordinate maintenance personnel, create and assign work orders for maintenance tasks and ensure the right resources are available to get the job get done on time. Work in a logical and organized fashion while communicating openly and honestly with relevance.

nTheir goal is to reduce maintenance costs, minimize the maintenance backlog, extend asset life cycle, and increase output.

nReports to the Maintenance Manager and performs other duties as assigned.
n
nDuties and Responsibilities
nCreate, update and manage maintenance schedules and generate work orders. This includes but not limited to:
nResponsible for coordinating all preventative and planned maintenance activities onsite
nAssist in auditing maintenance work processes, programs and documentation
nCoordinate, assign and adjust schedules to account for unexpected emergency work
nInventory control of stock parts and parts required to perform tasks. This includes but not limited to:
nOrganization of spare parts
nPlan and order parts and supplies
nWill-Call parts and/or supplies when required
nPerform a routine inventory of supplies
nCoordinate/Order project supplies
n
nComputer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) management
nAssist in maintaining maintenance CMMS for purchase requisitions, facility assets, PMs, work orders, inventory, replenishment and maintenance (stock) purchase orders.
nResponsible for facility and asset preventive maintenance program. Create SOP’s and procedural manuals that explain how to do certain tasks
nEnsure that PM’s are completed correctly and on time
nMaintain records and files essential to maintenance management
nCoordinate with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors
nAssists maintenance team members when required to complete assigned tasks
nFacilitate department inspections, permits, and related audits
nConduct routine 5S inspections of team member areas. Get personally involved with the 5S program
nBe available for all scheduled meetings and be prepared to supply the required information and documentation

nOrganizational skills, attention to detail
nGood written and verbal communication skills required
nGood computer skills.
nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

nEducation & Experience
nHigh school education or equivalent at least four years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or related environment
nAt least four years of experience working with a CMMS system and proficiency in maintenance workflow processes
nExperienced reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics
nPlanning/Scheduling experience within a manufacturing facility
nStrong ability to plan work while being flexible to changes in scheduling needs
