“PRODUCTION MANAGER- Los Angeles, CA
nJob Purpose: 
nThe Production Manager will lead production operations to optimize efficiencies in the start-to-end
nmanufacture of our processing and packaging lines. Plans and executes activities to meet customer 
nproduct specification in a timely manner. Collaborate with Shift Supervisors and other Managers to 
nestablish processes to achieve high standards of safety, quality, cost control, and high employee 
nengagement. 
nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
nProvide leadership and direction to Shift Supervisors. 
nWill be required to work second shift and will need to work weekends when necessary. Flexibility on the 
nhours and days is a must.
nEstablish direction and controls, and efficient utilization of production team members and equipment. 
nAnalyze performance data to identify opportunities for improvement. 
nCreate and manage the annual production budget. Collaborates with Plant Operations Manager to 
nimprove strategies for production process such as cost reduction, space utilization, safety, and 
ncleanliness.
nDevelop, sponsor, and implement productivity improvements and oversee production quality 
nperformance accountable to report food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance to leadership with 
nauthority to initiate action and oversee process documentation.
nAssume a shared role as Safety Champion and inspire team members to embrace and be accountable 
nfor personal safety.
nComplies with company policies, OSHA standards and safety requirements, as well as Federal and State 
nregulations.
nAssist in facilitating, developing, and evaluating employees in assigned areas to make sure that our 
nstandard operating procedures are being followed in a safe and consistent manner; training/coaching 
nemployees as needed.
nMaintain the consistent flow of processing raw materials to produce maximum efficiency, quality, and 
nthroughput; investigate and monitor production issues to help reduce and/or eliminate waste.
nCheck operations regularly to ensure that processes, schedules, quality, and safety standards are 
nmaintained.
nCoordinate activities of support departments with production department to maintain proper product 
nflow.
nDrive culture based on open/honest dialogue and involvement with all team members that 
ndemonstrates the value of their input and engagement in improving performance.
nSource/procure/maintain/control materials and inventory. Manage Purchase Order process.
nFollow all procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and personal safety requirements outlined 
nin Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
nExecute preparation of all daily, weekly, monthly reporting.
nIssue work schedule and resulting status.
nEffectively communicate timing, delivery of parts and/or work order progress to internal 
ncustomers/departments.
nEducation:
nBachelors’ Degree from an accredited university and/or 5 years of intensive food-related manufacturing 
nmanagement with a focus of 100 +/- employees.
nWork Experience:
n5+ years of hands-on experience in production management and supervisory experience in a high-speed 
nproduction environment in the food industry. 
n5+ years in a plant leadership role supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; 
nmanaging workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees.
nSuccessful track record working with upper management and front-line employees to meet employee 
nand company needs.
nKnowledge of safety, quality, sanitation, SQF, maintenance systems, warehousing.
nLean or Six Sigma implementation experience. 
nContinuous Improvement experience
nSQF, HACCP, PCQI certifications preferred.
