“Maintenance Mechanic
nThe Maintenance Mechanic is an employee who performs routine, general mechanical and maintenance assignments under direction and supervision
n•    Must be mechanically inclined, with a safety first mentality 
n•    Must have a “Can Do Attitude” and be Self-starter as well as a team player 
n•    Must be able to take direction as well as ownership of given tasks
n•    Must be able to have or obtain OSHA 10 hr. general industry certification
n•    Understand and follow oral and written instructions 
n•    Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks. 
n•    Capable of following and reading an SOP, has basic knowledge of work order system
n•    Can trouble shoot basic pneumatic system
n•    Possess basic knowledge of a risk assessment
n•    Possess basic knowledge on how to operate tools and machines in safe and efficient manner
n•    Able to make observations about workplace conditions.
n•    Able to make observations about current surroundings.
n•    Demonstrates a basic understanding of facility repairs
n•    Demonstrates basic knowledge of pipe repairs and fittings
n•    Demonstrates basic knowledge and understanding of electricity, i.e. residential wiring, proper PPE
n
n Specific Knowledge & Skills
nPossess basic knowledge of a risk assessment
nPossess basic knowledge on how to operate tools and machines in safe and efficient manner
nAble to make observations about workplace conditions.
nAble to make observations about current surroundings.
nDemonstrates a basic understanding of facility repairs

nDemonstrates basic knowledge and understanding of electricity, i.e. residential wiring, proper PP
nMust have shift flexibility
n

n•    Union Environment – Closed Shop
n•    Climbing (Ladder, Stairs, etc.)
n•    Balancing (own body)
n•    Stooping (bending from waist)
n•    Kneeling (one or both knees)
n•    Crouching (bending at knees)
n•    Crawling
n•    Lying down (on back, stomach, or side)
n•    Reaching (extending arm from shoulder, w/ or w/out bent elbow
n•    Handling (using whole hand)
n•    Lifting, seated
n•    Fingering (Fingers Only)
n•    Feeling (Texture, temperature, etc.)
n•    Kicking or pressing with foot or feet
n•    Work in confined spaces (side to side)
n•    Work or movement in areas with low clearance
n•    Work in high places (ladders, roofs, painting, etc.)
n•    Uneven floor or ground surface
n•    Work near opening in floor or ground
n•    Build –Up on floor or ground surfaces
n•    Near Acuity (clarity of vision at 20 inches or less)
n•    Cool to Warm manufacturing environment
