“FOOD MANUFACTURING PLANT IN CARTHAGE MISSOURI NEEDS A MAINTENANCE PLANNER ON DAY SHIFT. SALARY RANGE IS 60-70K PLUS 10% BONUS. MUST HAVE A STRONG CMMS BACKGROUND AND INVENTORY EXPERIENCE. THIS IS DIRECT HIRE AS WELL.
nThe Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing job plans for the Maintenance Department. Essential functions of the job include reviewing and prioritizing work orders, preparing Technician schedules, and utilizing CMMS and JDE systems to review and prioritize, assign, and close maintenance work orders. The Planner will also supervise and coordinate priorities for purchasing parts, the work order process, and parts storage practices.
nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
n• Review work requests and work orders for priority and update work orders to appropriate status
n• Determine job scoping requirements and either scope job or obtain scoping from qualified trades
n• Develop work procedures for maintenance jobs with necessary information, including skills, tasks, parts, tools, auxiliary equipment, contractors, and estimated time required
n• Determine required parts/materials on each work order; verify parts/materials are available and provide details to MRO buyer to acquire parts/materials as necessary
n• Supervise the MRO Buyer, CMMS Coordinator, and Parts Clerk to ensure all resources are purchased, entered into inventory, and allocated through the work order process.
n• Coordinate with the Parts Clerk to determine required parts/materials for all stock items and verify parts/materials are available
n• Coordinate with MRO buyer to identify material requirements, generate purchase orders and required delivery dates
n• Create and maintain standard task list for PMs and frequent jobs
n• Generate a complete 14-day draft schedule (one week fixed, second week tentative) and review with Operations to ensure available trades hours and asset availability
n• Work with Operations and production scheduling to coordinate maintenance shutdown schedule with the production schedule
n• Work with trades supervisors to understand status of ongoing work, including delays and overruns
n• Confirm material availability before scheduling jobs
n• Arrange and schedule the necessary special support equipment (contractors, cranes, etc.)
n• Backlog management including weekly and monthly backlog reviews and purging aged work orders as required
n• Confirm start dates for work orders based on priorities and production needs
n• Additional job duties as requested daily and weekly.
n• High school diploma or GED required. Some technical education strongly preferred.
n• 1-3 years of industrial maintenance and a technical understanding of plant and facility equipment required.
n• Working knowledge of JDE and CMMS systems preferred.
n• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office required.
n• Strong organizational skills and ability to focus on details required.
n• Strong communication skills (reading, writing and verbal) are essential to interface with co-workers, Team Leaders and Managers.
n• Ability to work as part of a team to achieve desired results; also, must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.
