Job Summary

The Operator follows the prescribed methods for machine operation to insure the highest level of machine efficiency and product yield. He/she also performs minor adjustments to the machinery during operation to ensure the quality of the product remains consistent throughout the production run. The Inline Extrusion Operator is also responsible for notifying the Asst. Plant Manager of any significant deviations from the normal operating conditions.

Functional Responsibilities

- Operate inline production equipment in accordance with production schedule and product specification

Inspects finished product for quality and documents measured results
nt
- nt
Monitors machines and makes adjustments during production run as needed
nt

Troubleshoots and diagnoses machinery if quality of product does not meet specifications

Notifies Asst. Plant Manager if product does not meet established standards
nt

Properly starts up and shuts down process equipment in accordance with published production schedules
nt

Knows how to shut down the machinery in case of an emergency
nt

Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices

Maintains a clean and orderly work environment

Performs minor maintenance on inline production equipment to ensure machinery can meet production requirements

Packs product and relieves required personnel for breaks

Grinds startup plastic and defective process parts

Load trucks using pick tickets and properly documenting the load

Unload trucks as required with proper documentation

Palletize, document, apply tracer ticket, and wrap finished product.

Maintain and monitor auxiliary raw materials supplementing the extrusion process

Maintain organized warehouse of raw materials

Maintain water treatment testing
