HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER OPENING IN FULTON NEW YORK WITH A LARGE FOOD MANUFACTURING PLANT. FULL RELOCATION FOR THIS ROLE. SALARY RANGE IS 100-115K AND 20% BONUS.

nManage the Human Resources team, providing the necessary leadership to stay focused on
nmeeting goals of the SMG and local management. To maximize employee performance.  To

ndepartment and maintain a high level of pride and job satisfaction.

nMinimize and prevent Company liability by remaining in compliance with all federal, state, and
nlocal laws as well as company policies, rules, and practices. To reduce or eliminate costly
neconomic fines and/or penalties that would negatively impact our business.  To do the right
nthing in dealing with employees, issues, and concerns by investigating and resolving them
nappropriately.

nActively support the community. Continue to openly interact with local, county and state
nofficials to maximize our ability to meet company objectives as a manufacturing site.  To

nManage company functions for employees, managers including supervision; Perform
ninvestigations related to serious policy or mill rule violations, allegations of hostile work
nenvironment or harassment.

nInvestigate allegations of inappropriate behavior; excessive absenteeism, CBA violations;
nability to defuse stressful situations, disgruntled employees; union officers.

nJob Qualifications
nRequired
nHave employee relations/labor relations experience to deal with employee issues and union
nproblem resolution; Have strong communication skills – both verbal and nonverbal with strong
npc skills –– word, excel, power point, spread sheets a plus; Be able to deal with disgruntle
nemployees.

nPreferred
n? Have a 4-year college degree in Business Administration, HR Management, or related field. 
n? 3-5 years Human Resources work experience.
n? 5 years manufacturing HR experience with strong HR generalist background.
n5 years labor contract negotiation experience – have hands on experience as chief
nspokesperson at negotiating a new CBA a plus; attended formal training in
nnegotiations/collective bargaining.
n?
n3-5 years of training/facilitator skills in HR areas, i.e., safety, benefits, compensation; possess
na working knowledge of safety programs and processes, accident investigation and OSHA
ncompliance; attended formal safety school or seminars; have been a committee member on
nthe safety team.

n? MBA in Business Management is desirable.
nHave 5 yrs HR manager experience in union manufacturing with some printing/paper or
npackaging exposure desirable.
n?
n? 1-3 yrs experience in a safety manager position a plus.
nEnvironment
nAble to sit, stand, walk for long periods of time within an office type work environment; Able to enter and
nwork within the entire facility – production and maintenance areas; Ability to use the phone, pc and talk to
nemployee’s, visitors, customers, government agencies”
