JOB DESCRIPTION:  Maintenance Technician

nReports To: Maintenance Manager -Maintenance Supervisor

Shift:          
n3rd 11PM:00 – 07:30 M-F 
nPAY RANGE: 35-40HR WITH 15% BONUS PLUS 75 CENTS FOR 3RD SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL.

Summary: The main purpose of the Maintenance Shift technician is to support production efforts in managing the targeted run rate of the IMA room and the related downstream equipment. Continuous improvement and preventative maintenance will be secondary responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

    nt

  • Executes all unplanned and corrective jobs safely on time with the required quality standards
  • nt

  • Runs technical support checks and operations such as vibration monitoring, pressure checks, blow downs, lubrication checks, etc.
  • nt

  • Recovers equipment from fault conditions into standard conditions
  • nt

  • Supports cleaning, inspections, lubrication, and streamlining of execution
  • nt

  • Conducts lock-out/tag-out if required or appropriate.
  • nt

  • Identifies and corrects performance issues of equipment during inspections
  • nt

  • Executes planned maintenance work that can be interrupted
  • nt

  • Attends maintenance and production shifts handover meetings
  • nt

  • Assists operators at fine tuning and adjustment of machines during changeovers
  • nt

  • Hands over equipment after repairs to operator; places tag for follow up work order.
  • nt

  • Executes repairs not able to be done by operators; informs supervisors of anticipated interruptions
  • nt

  • Proactively uses down-time to further support operations
  • nt

  • Communicates and cooperates with operations before, during and after repairs
  • nt

  • Regularly participates in training with lead shift technician to troubleshoot any frequent failures
  • nt

  • Applies structured fault-finding procedures
  • nt

  • Participates in Root cause analysis (5 Why’s)
  • nt

  • Performs or executes 5S in Maintenance work areas.
  • nt

  • Registers break down work orders in CMMS. Defines follow-up work.
  • n

Job Requirements:

    nt

  • 5 years working experience within maintenance
  • nt

  • Capable of learned Operation of IMA – C24-E and C23 machines
  • nt

  • Advanced technical machine knowledge
  • nt

  • Knowledgeable in process automation control
  • nt

  • Experienced in working with low voltage control systems
  • nt

  • Fluent in lock-out/tag-out skills and activities.
  • nt

  • Excellent trouble-shooting skills.
  • nt

  • Experienced in working in a Food/Beverage manufacturing facility.
  • nt

  • Basic computer skills
  • n
