Plant Manager

Direct Hire

Plant Manager for a manufacturer of equipment for the metals, power, and petrochem industries.

There are 30-35 people at this Struthers plant, this is a replacement position for someone who’s simply moved on. Need someone who can manage his people well, hire people in and once the people are there help them to understand what they need to do and succeed. Should have at least 5 years of plant manager experience. Someone with welding experience in low volume high complexity would be okay, automotive industry experience isn't similar and probably wouldn’t work. Currently shipping orders of less than 100 a year (average 2 orders a month) so this is low volume, high complexity. Focused on integrated steel mills and power generation so someone in these areas would be great, but someone with nuclear experience might also be good, maybe machine building on welded frames or welding related to machine building, if you’re making something big enough that the customers are using capital that’s someone who might be a fit.

Targeting 95k – 105k (possible flexibility upward for the right candidate) – someone who’s managing less than 50 people, it’ll be a very complex operation, There is a company vehicle that you can use for company and personal use. Site is in an industrial area, just southeast of Youngstown.
