Key Responsibilities and Duties

Quality Standardsnnt
- Evaluate and write work instructions so user can read and understand.
- Read and understand customer’s drawing.
- Drive the corrective / preventive action reporting.

Quality Project Managementnt
- Manage corrective actions, process improvements, and auditing projects.
- Assist associates with the proper use of monitoring and measuring equipment when needed.

Business Process Documentationnt
- Understand, comply, and improve established company policies and procedures.
- Develop standard work, policies, procedures, job aids, and business process communications.
- Use technical writing to convey technical information to transfer information into understandable and useful information.

ISO 9000 Quality Systemnt
- Maintain the ISO 9000 Quality management System.
- Reviews technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.

Document Controlnt
- Record all quality data using the company data systems.
- Knowledge of the Quality documentation process, document control practices, and management of documents, records, forms, and work instructions to maintain company’s compliance program.
- Responsible for organizing documents into an easy to use and fast retrieval system.
- Ensure companies policies and procedures conform to requirements.

Quality Communicationsnt
- Explain business process compliance to others.
- Be able to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to help others to follow and conform to the established best practice.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean production department and equipment.
- Proactive in addressing housekeeping issues on the production floor and production equipment.

- Be comfortable speaking effectively and communicating directly with all levels of personnel.
- Manage quality assistant(s)

Quality Auditingnt
- Conducts internal Audits to include:ntt
  - Process audits
  - System audits
  - Product audits

Problem Solvingnt
- Lead problem solving investigations. Promotes the use of 5 ways to identify root causes.
- Enforce Company Policy and Procedures with all associates.
- Monitor associate’s activities as it relates to Company Policy and Procedure.
- Review associates time daily and authorized overtime as needed.
- Perform associate’ corrective and/or disciplinary action and maintain sufficient documentation to support such action.
- Monitor associates breaks.
- Schedule and conduct shift meetings regularly; document shift meetings.

Process Improvementnt
- Monitor the quality of the operations in the work center.
- Aid with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing processes.

Calibration of precision measuring instrumentsnt
- Schedule and maintain calibration of precision measuring instruments

Key Job Performance Measures

Ensure completeness and accuracy of all quality data.

All audits are conducted to OFCO’s quality system standards.

Conduct problem solving sessions for corrective actions and any other time that it is necessary.

Ensure that the problem solving sessions are properly documented.

Conduct internal audits in accordions with OFCO’s quality system.

Reduction of Customer’s complaints.

Reduction of Customer and internal PPM’s

Operators demonstrate proper use of monitoring and measuring equipment.

Desired Qualifications

Two year degree in a Quality / Process field or equivalent.

Two to four years manufacturing experience.

Have a good working knowledge of ISO 9000.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization, including staff, management and customers.

Must also possess a mechanical background and be willing to help maintain and troubleshoot the processes.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Must demonstrate maturity, high responsibility level, good judgment and a desire to learn and grow as future needs arise.

Must be self-motivated and have a take-charge attitude.

Must be willing to work the hours necessary to complete all daily tasks.

Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
