Sanitation Supervisor – 3rd shift

Sanitation Team Leader/Supervisor – 3rd shift (10 pm – 8 am)

Summary:

The Sanitation Team Leader will ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of production facilities is consistently achieved on a daily basis.  Individual will report directly to the Sanitation Supervisor, and will be expected to provide leadership and direction to all sanitation department employees.  This will include, but is not limited to, addressing job competency skills and abilities, and to identify / plan for department cross-training needs to help ensure that plant operations will not be adversely impacted when occurrences and/or repairs must be completed.

Essential Responsibilities:

1.

In the Sanitation Supervisor’s absence, individual will be responsible for all aspects of the sanitation department.  This will include approval of employee timesheets, employee and work scheduling, ATP swabbing, inspections of rooms, completing the daily checklist, reviewing charts, and ensuring employee safety.

2.

Coordinate the work of other sanitation crew members to ensure that proper cleaning procedures are consistently being followed.

3.

Ensure that C.I.P. settings are accurate, and that proper step procedures are followed.

4.

Help troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs on the C.I.P.

5.

Monitor equipment for proper sanitation, including the breakdown and reassembly of equipment after cleaning.

6.

Monitor the Sure Graph for proper temperature, flow, and conductivity.  Must maintain accurate records (i.e. problems with equipment, injuries).  Ensure that wash charts are accurately filled out and properly stored.

7.

Help ensure that all crew members receive adequate training and cross-training, with an emphasis on proper safety procedures.

8.

Must be receptive to and capable of learning all related areas of responsibility.

9.

Responsible for RO, whey processing, and the proper cleaning of equipment and machines.

10.

Responsible to check chemical strengths.

 

Position Qualifications:

•  Preferred candidate has an associate’s degree or higher.  A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

•  Previous supervisory / management experience is a plus.
•  Must have experience working in a manufacturing production plant, ideally with sanitation.

•  Must be capable of learning all plant sanitation areas, and knowledgeable in all sanitation roles to effectively address employee development and plant-specific needs, regardless of the area or timing.

•  Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive and encouraging attitude.

•  Must have above-average mechanical aptitude, good manual dexterity, strong math ability, and a proven ability to effectively multi-task.

•  Must be able to regularly lift up to 80 lbs.

•  Able to handle situations or problems that occur with a high level of professionalism and direction.
