Project Maintenance Manager

Need a Project Manager with strong computer skills, should at least have an Associates degree, understand inner workings of a maintenance department, company does their own capital projects but no one is tracking the projects, this is the first year they've have budgets. Will report to the owner, update on projects and vendors they’re bringing in, if they’re overhauling a warehouse and converting it to something else, most probably installing a line, the maintenance guys are called engineers but they have no degrees or technical certs.

The plants are state of the art, The company is 90 years old, they prospered during the pandemic, and they’re in an acquisition mode, want to buy 4 more plants, they have 820 employees spread amongst the 7 locations.

They need someone who can roll up their shirt sleeves and not be intimidated about doing work, a good problem solver as their systems haven’t been maximized to their potential, they have a system called Vision which should be able to track budgets but right now they’re just using it for payroll so it needs to be expanded. Someone who can take the bull by the horns and develop systems and won't run away from it.

90k – 115k DOE plus bonus, there is a company provided gas card, there is a pension plan and 401k (match up to first 4%), health coverage is as low as $150 a month for a family, 2-3 weeks vacation.

The budget for projects is estimated to be in the $250,000 through $5 million dollar range.

Project Manager – reports to Director of Operations
90k – 115k DOE plus bonus


The project manager supervises and directs project initiatives and processes, to keep construction projects running smoothly, and within budget without compromising safety and quality standards, as well as meeting internal customer, statutory/regulatory, and organizational requirements.


A minimum of an Associate’s degree required, and Bachelor’s degree is desired

5 to 10 years’ experience in project management ranging from $250,000 to $5M

Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Must be able to present in person and online

Excellent skills using excel, power point, and word

Must have experience tracking budget spend, coordinating the work of others, and delivering and closing projects on time and under budget


Develop project schedules, project budgets and plans in conjunction with the Director of Operations and CEO; plans, directs, and assigns duties for project personnel, vendors, and contractors.

Coordinates with the Engineering manager for development of production methods processes, tooling, supplies and molds necessary to produce new products or machinery improvements

Reviews and implements engineering change notices as appropriate, updates production and technical documentation, including system manuals,

Oversees And supervise all functions including receiving of project components, inventory control, interim quality checks assures compliance with all regulations and gathering of permits, always adhering to good manufacturing practices.

Troubleshoots project problems and delays, working with the engineering manager, will assure machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient and safe production

Reports any process or equipment problems to the Director of Operations and CEO and the Engineering Manager as needed.

Perform other project duties as assigned

Prepares and delivers presentations at Strategic Leadership Meetings


Reports to the Director of Operations and the CEO.  Coordinates activities with Engineering, Production and Service Departments.  Budget reviews with the CFO. Supervise the work of personnel assigned to a given project.
