 Job Title:  PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR OPENINGS KANSAS CITY MO 
MUST HAVE FOOD OR BEVERAGE EXP IN HIGH SPEED MANUFACTURING.
SHIFT INFO: 2ND SHIFT & 3RD SHIFT OPENINGS 
SALARY RANGE: 65-70K 

Summary:  Entry level supervisor in a food manufacturing facility.  Ensures efficiency of production while preserving the integrity and quality of products. Maintains a safe and productive working environment and provides supervision of associates.  90% of the time should be spent on the production floor identifying improvement opportunities, monitoring safety, production and quality.

                                                                                  

Duties and Responsibilities:                                                                                           

  1. Ensures efficiency and production by sampling and inspecting finished product. Ensures that equipment and machinery are functioning properly. Ensuring that ingredients and supplies are provided and monitoring associates production levels. Ensures that production goals are met.
  2. Maintains a safe and productive working environment by maintaining and repairing equipment; realigning production lines as necessary; providing safety training for associates and monitoring the checklist.
  3. Supervises associates by managing the daily work of the associates, assigning work schedules; providing counseling to resolve issues and monitoring work activities.
  4. Performs other duties such as completing various reports; paperwork and other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Job Requirements:                                                                                           

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience; in a food manufacturing environment is highly preferred
  • History of achievement and demonstrated effective work performance

 

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:

  1. Must be able to effectively manage and supervise employees and/or processes in a positive manner, to achieve business goals and results.
  2. Must be able to operate a computer and current related software and hardware.
  3. Change agent with strong analytical abilities.
  4. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Must have strong positive people skills
  6. Must have the ability to operate various general office equipment, including but not limited to, a calculator, copier, fax machine.
  7. Bilingual English/Spanish verbal communication skills are a plus.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:                                                                                            

  • Supervisory responsibilities include monitoring associate performance for a regular group or work unit. This includes providing input on hiring; disciplinary actions; work objectives and their effectiveness and realigning production as needed

 

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:                                                                                           

  1. Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and/or noise.
  2. Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.
  3. Position requires the ability to stand; sit at a desk; walking around office and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling and twisting to inspect equipment. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
  4. Personal protective equipment, as defined by Company will be provided
