Job Summary
The Facilities Supervisor oversees and coordinates employees and activities related to maintaining and repairing site equipment, structures, utility systems and grounds. Plans and coordinates facility renovations, layouts, equipment updates, and utility support including modernization, maintenance and upgrading of plant electrical and mechanical systems, structures, architecture and interior finishes. The Facilities Supervisor also develops and monitors employee work schedules and ensures facilities compliance with OSHA, EPA, applicable codes (NEC, IBC, ADA) and local, state and federal codes and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
•    Oversee activities related to building maintenance, furnishings, equipment, grounds, utilities and climate controls.
•    Supervise, hire, train, coach and coordinate the work of facilities staff and contractors.
•    Maintain administrative records of department employees including attendance, performance and trainings.
•    Review and maintain department attendance including weekly review and approval of hourly payroll.
•    Onboard new employees and ensure regular procedural reviews and updates for all department employees.
•    Review, analyze and enter all work order requests and assign to appropriate personnel.
•    Review and enter all work orders into SQL, computerized maintenance system. Keep preventative maintenance assignments current.
•    Review all projects and assign personnel accordingly.
•    Provide technical guidance and expertise to both external and internal support on projects consisting of all the following utilities and systems: air, pure water, waste water, reverse osmosis, oil, hydraulics, steam, condensate, domestic & industrial water, electricity, concrete, structural, chemicals and others as identified.
•    Coordinate assigned facility projects in the area of training, including meeting with customers to define project scope, determining conceptual design approach, developing and monitoring project budgets and schedules, handling communication during construction, monitoring construction quality, negotiating changes, creating a punch-list and certifying completion for final payment.
•    Develop and write technical documentation, revise existing documentation and provide input to technical papers or presentations. Deliver technical presentations as assigned.
•    Support relevant documentation for Facilities Maintenance and Production Operations systems including HVAC, Lighting, Compressed Air systems, Construction, Boilers, chillers, Plumbing, Renovation and Preventive Maintenance Plans.
•    Provide coverage for regulatory inspections and any other unplanned facility incidents.
•    Ensure department compliance with OSHA, EPA, applicable codes (NEC, IBC, ADA) and local, state and federal codes and regulations.
•    Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services and provide recommendations to management.

Required Qualifications
•    High school diploma or equivalent.
•    7 years’ engineering, utilities and/or facilities experience.
•    Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, documentation and blueprints.
•    Strong organization, leadership, teambuilding and prioritization skills.
•    Proven ability to clearly communicate (oral and written) with all level of employees, management, regulatory agency inspectors and contractors.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications
•    Degree in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Chemistry, Industrial, Mechanical, Engineering or related field of study.
•    Prior supervisory or management training and/or experience.
•    Professional facilities engineering knowledge and experience.
•    AutoCAD experience.
•    Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
