Position Title: Maintenance Tech (2nd or 3rd Shift)
Description: Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely maintain industrial machinery & equipment to ensure continuous running and exceptional quality in a timely manner.
Requirements: Must have Multi-craft skills, including but not limited to PLC’s, AC & DC Drives, Motor controls and solid working knowledge of mechanical systems IE.. (Bearings, conveyors, Sprockets, Pneumatics and Hydraulics) and fabricating capabilities.
Work Orders and Inventory requirements: Utilize our Work order system to log daily task and PM’s while also dispersing all parts used on assigned jobs.
Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance for all machines and support equipment. Follow prescribed PM schedules and repairs for all plant equipment
Safety: Make sure all machinery is locked out before repair, Keep management informed of wear factors and possible breakdowns, Keep logs of all repairs, and Keep all repair areas and shop clean.
Must have your own personal tools
Performs other job-related duties as assigned, and self -motivated
Team oriented and work well with others.
Supervisory Responsibilities- none
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Pass background check, drug screen, physical, & aptitude testing
General knowledge of electrical prints, pneumatic pumps and hydraulic systems.
Able to read prints and troubleshoot with prints.
Be able to weld- stick and wire feed welder.
Must have own tools and be able to bring and use on the job.
High school diploma or GED.
Related college degree and/or appropriate technical courses or Associate’s (A.A.) degree
Minimum 3 years’ experience in related field
Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
Prior work experience in the corrugated industry, maintenance field
Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions with supervision and coworkers.
Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
