Large Manufacturing company in Hayward CA is looking for a strong maintenance Engineer out of a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Looking for someone that is not afraid to be hands on as well. Looking for a strong leader who can help people grow and develop.

Must be strong mechanically and electrically (PLC troubleshooting, wiring motors, vfds, etc.)

1st shift role 5AM start time

Salary range is $80k-$115k

Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Execute and support all maintenance activities for plant physical assets including buildings, grounds, utilities, process equipment, and packaging systems to maximize asset life and equipment reliability.

  • Provide technical and engineering support to maintenance technicians, including troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.

  • Utilize the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM/CMMS) system to create, assign, and track work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, labor hours, and parts usage.

  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify failure trends and recommend reliability and process improvements.

  • Support capital and expense projects, including equipment upgrades, new installations, and reliability improvement initiatives.

  • Assist with maintenance budgeting, spare parts planning, and inventory optimization.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, safety standards, and internal company policies.

  • Collaborate closely with Plant Engineering, Production, and Operations teams to support equipment startups, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of Maintenance Engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field.

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills with a focus on reliability engineering and preventive maintenance.

  • Experience working with CMMS/EAM systems for maintenance planning and asset management.

  • Analytical, innovative, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Authorized to work in the United States for any employer; no current or future visa sponsorship required.
